I know its been a month since my birthday, imma gonna carry on posting about birthday month's treats nonethless...
Met A for our birthday dinner; his bdae is 9 days before mine. It's crazy what a health freak is has evolved to! I guess I'm more chill with my food now as compared to him. Oh mans, didn't know I was so annoying back then :X
Anyways I wanted Korean initially but we both settled for Cedele @ Raffles City Shopping Center since Togi was just way too far from workplace. I think not many people knows about it but Cedele has an all day dining outlet just above one of the hotel lobby. I like how it is quiet and "queue-less" despite it being a Friday night. Only problem is.. what seems like a lack of air-conditioning. Either that, or the we're just too hot for them. =D
Jokes aside, A ordered the Paprika Chicken Curry which was pretty decent. I'm not too sure how much his willing to pay for curry but I thought $18.80 was kinda ex, even if it was a decent curry. I could have gotten a bigger bowl of fish head curry for $15 dollars in a tze char stall, #justsayin
Paprika Chicken Curry @ $18.80 |
Wild Blueberry Pancake @ $13,90 |
I had a hard time convincing A to have a cake; thanks to my ultra good persuasive skills he gave in in the end. We had the carrot cake *my favourite!* Cedele's carrot cake has been my go-to carrot cake since.. since...I'm not too sure when..
Carrot Cake $6.50 |
On a separate occasion, I had the Mother's day special- Chocolate Raspberry Cake with TX. The cake was essentially a dense chocolate cake layered with raspberry infused cream cheese. The flavour of the cake reminded me of a red velvet cake though, tangy and chocolatey all in one bite. An interesting combination albeit I wouldn't get another slice of this.
Raspberry Chocolate Cake @ $7.50 |
Eggless Chocolate Truffle Cake @ $6.30 |
On another separate occasion (as you can tell, I'm starting to turn into a Cedele Fanatic), my colleagues and I were chilling at Cedele after lunch. I ordered their Ginger Chocolate Drink which was pretty darn good! Im a huge ginger fan and would love my Chocolate drink to be spicier but I guess the ratio of ginger to chocolate was pretty well balanced for the average drinkers. My colleague had the Chai Latte which wasn't that fantastic. I thought it was too milky and the Chai spices were kinda lost.
I would like to think Cedele is slightly healthier but I highly doubt so. In any case, healthy or not, I love Cedele and would definitely head back for more cakes, pancakes and ginger drink :)
