A sequel from my previous post. Along Bukit Timah Road, lies another cafe. Ok, I'm pretty sure Bukit Timah is adorned with tons of cafes; nonetheless this is one not to be missed!
Nested amongst "Meet the Butcher" and "Soghurt", The Missing Pan delivers hearty food with warm service. I was there for dinner but was dying to have an item on their brunch menu. Fortunately, they weren't that pack and so the chef obliged =D
Bread is freshly baked in-house and is offered before dinner. Nothing beats hot crispy bread.. oh wait, nothing beats hot crispy bread with herb infused butter!

The dish I was dying to have is their Salpicon, which essentially refers to a hotchpotch/ marriage of contrasting flavours. The Missing Pan's Salpicon comprises of a thick slab of French toast stuffed with savoury chicken goodness and topped with fresh fruits, served with strawberry smoked maple syrup. There's something really magical about having both sweet and salty flavours in a bite! The Salpicon is a must order!! Hell, the Salpicon is my reigning top brunch item.

There were both plated desserts and desserts off the shelve. The Mela Con Formaggi, which comprises of Apples coated in Banana Caramel Sauce, Mascarpone, Honeycomb, Chocolate Cookies Crumbs and Parmigiano Chips. I never knew apples and cheese could taste so good together. Once again, a nice play of sweet and salty with the honeycomb and Parmigiano Chips!
If fancy-pansy plated dessert isn't your thing, try their counter top desserts. Didn't try their top seller brownie cheesecake but their chocolate tart is divine!
