Table at Pip's @ Lorong Kilat

Table at Pip's is a cosy finer dining (dining classified between casual and fine) joint at Lorong Kilat. I thought the food was pretty decent albeit pricey.

The service staff were warm and friendly. They served as some italian pizza bread while we were deciding on our orders. I thought the bread was kinda soggy and didn't quite taste like pizza to me.. it tasted more like bland pita bread.

I had the set meal which consist of a starter, a main and dessert. I thought my starter the asparagus with thai dressing was bleah... kinda bland and didn't quite bring me back to Thailand.

My main course was pan fried salmon which was executed well nonetheless it was no bigger than the size of my palm -_-
Yeah, I know how minuscule the  portion sizes are for fine dining but this is finER dining for god's sake. Moving on...

Dessert was the highlight of the meal. The warm chocolate lava cake was done brilliantly: flowy lava, checked! Cakey base, checked! and crisp on the outside, checked checked!!

My colleagues had the steak set and they mentioned the steak was superb. One of them had the pannacotta for dessert, which I stealthily stole a bite from. I thought the pannacotta was pretty decent; smooth and creamy albeit a tinge too eggy for my liking.

I paid a total of $200 for 3 sets and 2 small bottles of wine. Honestly, it wasn't too bad but I doubt I will return as fine/ finER dining just aint my kinda thing.
