Had dinner at TCC with Jie and Mum a night before my bdae. TCC serves über good pasta!

Jie had Mentaiko Spaghetti with Salmon Tataki which was de-li-cious. The salmon had a nice sear and was still pinkish raw in the inside which I like! The pasta was cooked to al dente, eggs were executed well and most of all.. the mentaiko sauce is incredibly flavourful. If mine wasn't as good, I would have stole sis's.

My Wafu Beef Spaghetti was really yummy as well. I had this before at TCC vivo and I thought Vivo's was nicer. Nonetheless, Novena sq's was still pretty tasty- tender and succulent beef slices served with al dente pasta and yummy Wafu sauce.

Mumsy had the Misoyaki Beef Sandwich which was really really tasty. I wonder where they get their Japanese seasoning from cos I'm pretty sure it isn't made from scratch.

As we stand to enjoy the 50% birthday offer, jie and myself went crazy and ordered 3 different cakes. The Tira-miss-u was really mild, I think I've picked the wrong one as I recalled TCC's Tiramisu was one of my top favourites. On hind sight, it might have been the Devil-misu.
The marble cheesecake was highly recommended by the waitress but it tasted really normal. I thought it wasn't cheesy enough and was too creamy for my liking. Yes! there is a difference between cheesy and creamy, for those who are frowning in disapprove.
Lastly, the chocolate mud cake (I can't really remember what's the name of this cake). It was really good, not too sweet and well balanced with a bottom layer of crunch.

I hate to have dinner at TCC as we tend to hold back on ordering caffeine laden drinks. Nonetheless, we went ahead with the Passion Yuzu Ice Tea and Berry Choco Latte. The former was really good, very refreshing and fragrant; the yuzu was bursting with citrusy flavour. I just wished it was a tinge less sweet.

I wish I could say the same for the Berry Choco Latte. Unfortunately, the coffee drink was really bad. I disliked the berry sauce alot. I thought it was really artificial and tasted like those flavouring used to for making pink cherry flavoured panadol.

I know I might be a pain and an ass at times but thanks for bearing me for 9 months and bearing with me these 24 years. You might not know it but I love you deeply mumsy dearest.

Happy 24th. Peace out. |
