Nana's Green Tea

Tata and myself met up for dinner at Plaza Sing and we settled for Nana Green Tea. Or rather, I suggested and she complied :)

I had the Locomoko Don which consisted of rice, beef burger patty, eggs and some shreds of veggies, all slathered with tomato beefy sauce. I thought the sauce was pretty tasty but thats about it. The eggs were a tad undercook but I didn't bother to send it in as I prefer undercook eggs than overcooked eggs (that's if properly cooked half boiled eggs ain't an option). The beef patty had lumps of fats which I occasionally had to spit out, thank goodness it was Christa and not like some hot date.

My initial choice of dish was the cream udon but they ran out of udon that night. Like seriously... how can they run out of udon?! It's like McDonalds running out of buns, or like Wee Nam Kee running out of chicken, or like Rochor Beancurd running out of beancurd... ok you get my point right!? It's incomprehensible and I was rather disappointed...

Locomoko Don $15.80
Tata had the Salmon and Maguro Don which looked like any other raw fish don. Tata said the sauce was nice. In any case, I thought $15.80 for a bowl of salmon + tuna + rice isn't exactly worth it.
Salmon and Maguro Don @ $15.80

We knew we had to have dessert at Nana's. In fact, dessert was the saving grace. We had the Matcha Shiramata Parfait which consisted of vanilla and matcha ice cream, red bean paste, mochi balls, cornflakes and green tea kanten jelly. I liked the matcha ice cream alot as it had the right balance of both sweet and bitter; the vanilla ice cream was however too sweet. Mochi balls, kanten jelly and red bean paste were so so...but I guess the combi was pretty appetizing.

Matcha Shiramata Parfait @ $13.80

Would I return to Nana? yeah.. prob for their dessert.
