Spizza Pizza has been on my "go -to" list ever since they joined the Palate Dining Privilege Program. What better time to check out a restaurant than when you have discount :)
Went with Jie to check out Spizza, which apparently serves authentic Italian thin crust pizza. Both Jie and myself ordered the Ursala and Helena to share. All their pizza are named after women which sounded pretty corny, especially when we were ordering. "I'll have a Helena, 10 inch."
Anyways their 10 inch comes in 8 slices which didn't quite satisfy my famished sister. The Ursula consisted of Tomato , Mascarpone, Smoked Salmon, Capers and topped with a handful of Spinach. I thought the Ursula was pretty tasty, I love combi of creamy Mascarpone and Smoked Salmon! It's like match make in heaven...

The Helena had Tomato, Mozzarella, Grilled Chicken, Bell Peppers and Grilled Chicken in Pesto sauce. I thought the Grilled chicken in Pesto was really good though I would have loved for more Grilled Chicken in Pesto; they were kinda stingy with the toppings dont you think?
Helena @ $17 |
Because dear old sis wasn't satisfied, we ordered some sweets to help ease that stomach of hers. The waiter recommended the Olivia Vanilla which is a Homemade Chocolate Cake with Extra Virgin Olive Oil. The Vanilla Ice Cream did kinda help with the cake as the cake was way too dense and dry. I would call it a brownie instead of a cake: a cakey brownie maybe?
Olivia Vanilla @ $8 |
Since the Tiramisu was their signature dessert, I thought we should just go for it. The Tiramisu is the largest Tiramisu I ever had, true story. It isn't cos it's huge but bcos many other Italian places serve really small slices of Tiramisu. Portion aside, the tiramisu was decent but lacked the alcohol kick; in fact I would label this a super child friendly version of Tiramisu.
Tiramisu @ $8.50 |
