I was kinda secretly yearning for JY to agree with meeting at Koh's Grill and Sushi bar; I've read loads and seen tons of pictures of those mayo soakin Shiok Maki. Located at Wisma Atria Food Republic, Koh's Grill and Sushi Bar is the new kid in town. Although their prices aren't as competitive as Ichiban's, their out-of-the-world maki are definitely kicking Sushi Tei's ass.
Its almost like a crime to not order a Shiok Maki when you dine in Koh's GSB cos its simply awesome! I mean the formula itself just sounds ultra mouth salivating... Unagi + Avocado + Roasted Salmon + Cheesey Mayo + tons of Roe, need I say more? I'm not really a fan of Mayo but I swear this Maki is really declicious.

Another unique dish of theirs would have to be their Pitan Maki which was drenched in creamy century egg sauce. I thought the combination of flavours from the sword fish, avocado and century egg were pretty intriguing, though I have to admit it wasn't really love at first bite.
Last but not least, the Crappy Maki, which ain't crappy to say the very least. The softshell crab was crispy and had a great contrast againdt the soft luscious Swordfish belly. Once again, the maki was doused with tons of roe!! Yums..
I can't believe I waited so long to visit Koh's Grill and Sushi Bar! They serve generous, quality food at comparable prices, what's not to love? This is unless they go about decreasing portions and quality ingredients which in my humble opinion, is really prevalent and saddening. Anyways do give Koh's a try, their Shiok Maki lives up to its name.
