Sweet Spot @ MBS

After the Wonder Full Show, we found a sweet spot to have our dessert ok lame, I know. We were there around 9.50pm and were so afraid they would pack up and not serve us. However, Sweet Spot was really accommodating and allowed us to dine in while they pack up.

Sweet Spot
Located at the MBS Hotel Lobby 3, near Ku De Ta, Sweet Spot offers a variety of desserts and baked goodies.

We weren't too keen on their breads nor pastry and so we zoomed right into their aw-so delicious looking cakes.

Each of us chose 1 dessert to share and I indubitably chose the Chocolate Paradigm Cake; nothing says "pick me" like a good old chocolate cake. The Chocolate Paradigm was pretty good; it tasted like the less sweet version of Canele's Chocolate Royale, not that I'm complaining :) I seldom get jelak over a desset, but this is one hella chocolatey dessert!! Three quarters into the cake and I was kinda overwhelmed by its richness.

Eli chose the White Chocolate with Orange and Thyme which was an intresting combination of both savoury and sweet. I'm not a fan of white chocolate as I find it too overwhelming sweet but the tartness of the orange and spiciness of the thyme really complimented the white chocolate, creating a delectable blend of flavours.
Sweet and Savoury Orange and Thyme @ $9.50
Trix chose the chocolate Eclair which tasted pretty different from the Eclairs I've tried. Sweet Spot's Choux pastry is much denser and slightly more crispy than the regular choux pastry. Together with the freshly whipped cream and chocolate coating, the chocolate Eclair was the lighter dessert of the lot.

Sweet Spot offers pretty good desserts albeit there isn't any particular cake which wow-ed us. Nonetheless, they do have awesome service and I might drop by and have a cake or 2 when I'm feeling rich... or depress... or both.
