Keong Saik Snacks and They Really Mean Snacks

Went Keong Saik Snacks with H and dang they do mean snacks! Located at Keong Saik Street, Keong Saik Snacks boast a simple and neat exterior, with a nice cosy ambience and an open kitchen filled with chefs. I reckon there were probably 4 service staffs and 4-5 chefs in the house, now that's a lot of man power for a tiny cosy 20-30 seater diner!

I ordered the Lobster Roll which was really puny. I thought the lobsters were pretty good, fresh and sweet. I'm not sure what credits those buns possess but they taste like those normal ones you can find in any bakery. Indeed they were generous with the amount of lobsters but for $18, I might just give this a pass next time.

H ordered the Jason's Very Hot Dog which consist of an ordinary bun, an ordinary smoky sausage and some Avocado, shallots, cheddar, JalapeƱos and ketchup. I thought the addition of Avocado was a really brilliant idea but it surely didn't warrant the whopping price of $19.

I didn't like the Garlic Chilli Fries as well. It was crispy but way too oily. I thought it was pretty average and comparable to McD's.

I guess the food isn't terrible nor did the service suck (in fact the waiters were super attentive), however the snack like size just doesn't justify the price they charge. It's price vs value for me and in my utmost humble opinion, Keong Saik Snacks just didn't cut it.
