Daily Grains @ Taman Perling

Daily Grains is a small quaint cafe located at Taman Perling which serves good quality baked goods. It's a pity they're located at Johor, or else I might just become one of their regulars.

The Raisin Cheese Bread is ever-so light and fluffy. I thought theirs were comparable to Barcooks, albeit I thought they could have been more generous with the cream cheese filling. Nonetheless, I enjoyed every single bite of it.

I read about their banana cake via Johor Kaki's food blog and thought I should give it a try. Apparently their banana cake is made with all natural ingredients i.e does not contain any preservatives. At RM 4 for 5 pieces, this banana cake doesn't come cheap (unless you convert it back to Sing dollars). I liked how the cake wasn't too sweet and had nice dosage of walnuts. However, I thought the cake was a tad dry and wasn't as tasty; I must say I've had better tastings banana cakes.

All in all, Daily Grains is definitely a eat good feel good kinda cafe and could well be Malaysia's version of Cedele. I would definitely pop by to try their carrot cake; crossing my fingers and hoping for a ride there again.
