Togi @ Mosque Street

Togi is da Korean Bomb! besides the oh so famous PSY of course. I don't know how authentic Togi's Korean food is (anybody would like to comment?) but to me its perfect- reasonably priced, large portions and friendly service :) Met Bing for dinner at Togi and we ordered the Jajangmyeon and Duk Bok Gi, both of my favourite dishes (lol that's how compromising Bing was!) It's my umpteen times dining at Togi and I'm never let down!

The Banchan consisted of Green Beans, Fish Cakes, Anchovies, Pickled Veggies, Kim Chi and Potato Salad. Honestly, these aren't the best Banchan around but I think it was good enough. When it comes to the topic of Banchan, I rule service over food. I hate when service staff gives you "the look" when you ask for more Banchan. Togi's waitress even offered to top up for us --> Thumbs up! (albeit she was quick to forget about topping up not until we reminded her)

The Jajangmyeon is as good as ever. Right amount of seasoning and packed with chunks of pork & potato. The best part would have to be the chewy al dnete noodles- YUMS!!

Jajangmyeon @ $12-14 (I forgot the actual pricing)
It was my first time tasting Kim Chi Pancake and I'm glad I was pleasantly surprised. Although it didn't quite taste like Kim Chi (which is why I was pleasantly surprised), it had a really unique taste (in a good way) and was crispy in the outside and soft and chewy in the inside. The salty tangy sauce really enhances the taste of the pancakes so make sure you really give those pancakes a good dunk.

Kim Chi Pancakes, 3 pieces for $6
Since Bing had the JJM, I got myself the Duk Bok Gi. Togi's Duk Bok Gi is massive! It's so huge I can hardly finish 3/4 of it and not fill stuffed. I love how it's packed with tons of rice cakes, fish cakes, carrots and onions; they even have dumplings man! Close your eyes and imagine all of those, tossed in red hot chilli pepper sauce and topped with greens... that's what I call Duk Bok Gi heaven. I havent tasted that yummy a DBG before, so if you think there is a contender to this, please please recommend it to me!

Duk Bok Gi @ $12
So there you have it! A wonderful dinner at Togi with awesome bing. A pity we were sort of rushed out of Togi as it was jam packed and had a long queue of people waiting outside. Word of advice, come in early for dinner, 6.45 is ideal as the crowd starts forming after 7pm.
