&Made My Day

Went dinner with Roger the other day and gosh it was the best decision I made that week. I thought &Made would have been crowded by 7 but I was surprised to find the restaurant nearly empty on a Thursday night, not that I am complaining :)

We were pleasantly greeted by their waiters and were shown to seats right near the entrance. I loved how the Menu looked, cute yet sophisticated.

I read about how small their Toastoos were and so I advised Roger to get the 3 Little Pigs Burger while I got a Lamb Burger for myself. I think he was really pleased with his choice; he was going on about how he should eat all the pork he can now as he will be heading to Msia for work. -_- Roger oh roger.

Roger's 3 Little Pigs came first and it looked gooooood but not for long, as it seemed puny alongside my massive lamb patty. Both burgers came with a basket of crispy fries, fried to perfection. If you think the fries is good on its own, wait till you try their "bbq sauce" which tasted more like bbq chutney. 

3 Little Pigs @ $23

I thought the 3 little pigs was ok, not a pork fan but Roger seemed to love it. My lamb burger was massive, just look at those chunks of lamb mince :) I love the combination of the caramelized onion jam, curried raisins and chunks of juicy lamb; it's like eating clouds from heaven man. The bread wasn't that fantastic but it complimented the patty and was soft enough to "kiap" the ingredients.

Just look at how huge my patty is, I bet Roger was secretly envious lol. 

The Hot Caramel Lava Cake was the reason why I wanted to dine at &Made and of course I had to order it. I loved how the waitress operated on the cake; revealing a pool of oozing caramel. Although the Caramel Cake was a tad too sweet for my liking, I found myself continuously digging into the pudding like cake as the combination of both salty and sweet does somehow make this cake irresistible. Give me an ice cream beside a warm cake and you'll get =) but give me a filo pastry coated ice cream and you'll get =D The filo pastry adds a nice crunch and texture to the ice cream. Pair the fancified ice cream with hot caramel sauce and warm pudding cake and my friend, you've just entered utopia.

Am I returning for more awesome burgers and delectable caramel cake? Hell yeah! In addition, the service was top notched! The waiter serving us was really humorous, friendly and made us feel at home. I must say I'm rather puzzled as to why HGW has horrid reviews about their service. Food's good, service's great, &Made just totally made my day.
