Wild Honey Revisited

Met up with the Eli and Trix the previous week and we settled for Wild Honey as its awesome and its in town. Eli just came back from her long vacation in the UK and both Trix and myself have been busy working, thus it was nice to catch up and talk about life. Jonk joined us this time round as she was with Trix earlier in the day. K, I think that's about it for the meal setting, now onto the food!

We were all taken aback when Eli what's apped us that we were given outdoor seats; alfresco dining in Wild Honey @ Scotts? who knew!? Initially I thought it would have been really hot outside but I guess the altitude did play a part as it was cooling and just right.

Having tried the Tunisian already, I decided to give the Santa Fe a go; apparently this dish is only available at the Scotts outlet. The Santa Fe was pretty hearty meal with a generous portion of veggies layered above nicely toasted tortilla wraps. I thought this dish would have been spot on if the sharp cheddar could have been spread more evenly as some parts of the wrap were salty as hell and other parts were left blend and unflavoured. Also, there was an overdose of cilantro which might throw some of you off. Nonetheless, I was happy with my choice as the perfectly cooked sunny side up brought everything nicely together.

Trix had a tough time deciding (typical trix actually) lol. After much deliberation, she settled for the European. The European seemed really inadequate as compared to the rest of our dishes, however Trix said it was uber filling. I pinch a little of her hollandaise sauce but it wasn't enough to make constructive comments. I think Trix loved her dish though.

The European

Eli ordered the Tunisian which looked as impeccable as before while Jonk ordered the I love New York. Jonk was pretty apprehensive about ordering the ILNY as we all didn't know what Sturgeon was, nonetheless she ordered it and wasn't too please with it. She said it was got too fishy after awhile. I pinched some and thought it tasted like scrambled eggs infused with Ikan Billis.

As it was Trix's bdae just a few days back, we decided to surprise her with a brownie/ cake. The Brownie was awesome! It was all you can ask for in a brownie- Crispy on the outside, gooey, fudgey sticky in the inside- YUMS. Although I'm not a big fan of vanilla ice cream, I thought this ice cream was pretty good as it had a really strong vanilla flavour and paired really nicely with the warm brownie.

Nice dinner, great ambiance, warm service and awesome company. What more can I ask for? Wild honey has taken a special place in my heart, guess you'll be hearing  reading more about their other offerings soon. :)
