A Night At Esplanade

I dunno whether you've seen this but Esplanade Mall is having 1-for-1 lunch deals :)

Despite the awesome lunch promotions, I was there a few weeks back for dinner. We had Tomo Izakaya for dinner and quite frankly the food did not justify its price. The sushi platter was ok, nothing spectacular. The soba wasn't good, Ichiban Boshi's beats it hands down. The fried rice wasn't too bad but wasn't fantastic. I guess the only thing that wowed me was the cream cheese sweet potato which surprisingly was a nice combination- kudos to whoever who thought of it.

The highlight of the night would definitely be the scenery at Orgo! Who knew Singapore's Skyline was that beautiful? The drinks were so so only. Despite not being a Mojito fan, I thought their Green Tea Mojito tasted pretty good. The green tea complemented both the mint and the lime really well, bringing the drink to a whole new level. The tiramisu dessert cocktail was yuck! I think it was naivety on my part to actually think that they would serve a cocktail with sponge fingers and mascarpone, or is it? Their tiramisu cocktail was a bitter, gao concoction of coffee & liquor and I couldn't bring myself to finish it. The last drink of the day was Sex on the Beach. As cheesy as the drink sounds, this drink does not make me associate it with sex or Ft Lauderdale's beach. I can't really figure out the components of this drink but it tasted really girly and sweet.

P.S Please only go to Orgo for special occasions as my friend would kill me if Orgo becomes crowded.
