Pho 99

Met Tata 2 weeks back (pardon my delayed post) and we headed to Pho 99 as tata was craving for Vietnamese food. Pho 99 is located just north of Amoy Food Center. Those of you who don't know where Amoy is, don't bother searching as Pho 99 isn't worth your time and effort.

Beef Pho

Upon entering Pho one may think they came to the right place as the shop exuded an authenticity vibe. I thought the shop was kinda small and cram but some might say its quaint and cosy so I'll just leave it up to you to judge. Service was good as the staffs were mostly nice and friendly. However, the food was far from average Frankly, the pho I had in Minnesota was a 10 times better than Pho 99's. First up, the soup tasted artificially sweetened (as if it's 5% beef stock and 95% MSG), Secondly, the noodles were normal Kway Teow instead of Vietnamese rice noodles. Third, the beef was tough way too tough for my liking. I guess this would be my last time visiting Pho 99.

P.s Don't feel bad Tata, we'll find another awesome vietnamese place k? :)
