Burgers vs Wings@ Orchard Central

Orchard Central has the weirdest of building layouts ever but I guess they have been making it pretty shopper friendly by extending the lift to level 11 (I'm pretty sure it wasn't extended to level 11 initially).

Met the inferno peeps for Burgers & Wings a couple of months back and I really enjoyed myself. I was pretty happy with both service and food though the food took eons to come. However, my second visit with the fams weren't as pleasant.

Benny ordered a basket of garlic fries to share as we were all starving. The fries were ok, really small for $3.80 though.

Thank goodness he did cos the food took really long to arrive, which I didn't quite understand why as they were packed with staffs. Service was really slow but I "appreciate" how they "try" to acknowledge you even though they are busy. its like..

All nonverbally...

Benny's  liked his burger- the Classic Heavy Weight Burger. I thought it looked like mine, minus the peanut butter of course.

Yang Fan had the slider as he wanted a mixture of everything. Great idea but.. a tad too small. Some might go on about how cute and presentable it looked but honestly, I felt really sad for YF. This pic does the burger too much justice, let me give you a perspective of how small it was... See that salt/ pepper shaker on the top left hand corner? that was how tall the buger was...

I had the Tyson Peanut Butter Burger which I thought was pretty good; then again I'm kinda biased when it comes to peanut butter. I thought the patty was pretty juicy albeit alittle too oily. If I could have it my way, I would prefer mine slathered with more peanut butter. Oh! I would also love for the egg yolk to be less cooked.

BWB wasn't that bad and I thought it might interest my burger loving family. I bought the groupon deal and jio-ed my fams there (except bro cos his a freaking SMUgger). I had the Pumpkin Crispy Rice Cake Burger Benedict as I wanted something diff. On hind sight, sometimes being adventurous and different doesn't pay off.  The rice cake wasn't crispy and had an unfresh oily taste to it. The burger patty was ok, slightly thinner than the juicy Tyson burger I had that night. Only consolation would have to the wobbly, perfectly cooked egg yolk! Yes I was very disappointed and no I didn't enjoy my burger one bit.

Mummy had the spicy wings (can't remember the exact name), she loved it. I should have taken a picture of how well polished the chicken wings were...

Jie had the New York burger while dad had the Tyson Burger. I could tell Dad didn't quite enjoy his. Upon questioning, he said it was ok, just too oily. Hmm.. I think his biased towards Fat Boys.

The groupon deal entitled us for the Tapas & Dessert Add on. However, the tapas that night was incredibly sad.. They had some chicken carousel thing, butter rice, tortilla chips and soggy pop corns. All the salad had super awful dressing (smelt and tasted spoilt). To top it all off, the desserts were pathetic as well: dry stick-to-the throat swiss roll, vanilla tasting cheesecake, some weird looking jelly (which I didn't touch), dry cakey brownie and only vanilla & strawberry ice cream. Ice cream tasted like those store bought Walls ice cream, nothing too fancy; liked how its not too soft though.

First time charmed, second time bumped. Will there be a 3rd time? probably not in the near future...especially when there are so many other burger joints to choose from.
