Miam Miam @ Bugis Junction

It's been almost a year since I caught up with the BITC babes... you know the saying "Distance/ time makes the heart grow fonder" so true... #sotrue

So guess who suggested Miam Miam? of course, my friends are as compromising as ever. We made an effort to order separate stuff so we could all share. I thought the dishes were pretty well conceived but WAY WAY WAY too salty.

The Miam Miam Spghetti was really flavourful and pack with tons of ingredients. I love how they played with the colours; the entire dish just looked soo uber appetizing. It was.. unfortunately REALLY EXTRAORDINARILY OVERWHELMINGLY SUPERCALIFRAGILISTICEXPIALIDOCIOUS-LY SALTY if that doesnt emphasize enough, I don't really know what will.  I really wanted to eat it but i really couldnt.. what a waste..

The Riz Noir Black Rice aka Squid Ink Rice underneath fluffy omelette was really good too but yeah salty as well. This wasn't SO bad as the omelette was rather bland and so with the omelette it was still edible. Once again the dish was packed with squid and prawns and honestly I hope they keep up with their generosity.

The Riz Au Curry was also really salty after a couple of mouthful; fortunately the sweetness of the curry kinda took the attention away. Nothing really special about this dish though. On hind sight, the Souffle Au Curry might have wow-ed us more.

Last but not least, the lengendary french toast... So.. did this baby live up to its expectation.. HELL YA! It was really fluffy yet had a little bit of chew. SO SO GOOD. It was a really good ending for our intoxicatingly salty mains. Oh and if you know me well enough, you'll know I'm not a fan of whipped cream or anything else that resembles it. HOWEVER.. however... I have to say I'll give this my 2 thumbs up. It's so soft, so light, so delicious, so irresistibly awesome. I actually took a huge dollop of it and slathered it all over my french toast, that was my personal endorsement of how good it was.

The  French Toast @ $9.80
Despite the salt overload, I really liked the dishes especially the french toast. I would totally go back for it! and maybe try their Souffle Au Curry (of course I would ask for a no salt version.. lol would update you on that if it ever happens). Oh and something to point out, they charge freaking 50 cents for water , which in my opinion is rather stupid. We are in freaking Singapore,  I'll be happy if you don't charge and give me tap water; and I'm pretty confident I speak for 70% of the diners there. (the other 30% is probably ignorant and think all cafes serve them pure water.. think again guys :D)
