De Burg, Delight :)

Over the past 2 months, I finally grasp the theory behind emotional eating. Emo -- Sweet Fatty Food --Happy (for an instant) -- Guilty -- More sweet fatty food (more guilty) -- Emo. Thankfully, I stopped at  2nd stage emo.

So anyways, I was feeling a lil down and mum decided to bring me out for food; she's such a dear when she's not nagging... I suggested heading to Alexandra Village Food Center as I wanted to have the avocado milk shake. However, I ended up eating burger from De burg instead. Glad I did though...

Mummy had the De Burg burger which was their signature burger. Nothing pow wow, just plain own beef burger executed well. The 200g of beef patty was indeed succulent and paired really well with the bacons, onions and bbq sauce. Every 200g patty burger comes with 2 sides and the tater tots were pretty good.

De Burg @$18.50
Jie had a tough time deciding; she chose the black pepper beef which tasted mediocre. Size really does matter and the 100g beef patty was slightly less satisfying. The black pepper sauce wasn't that great either. I reckon De Burg knows how to fry their stuff as the onion rings were crisp, without traces of  oil.

Black Pepper Beef @ $9
I did abit of researching before hand and was arrowing the Choco Lamb. Indeed, the both nutella and lamb turned out to be a rocking combi! I thought the lamb patty was really succulent and I regretted not getting the 200g patty. If I could have it my way, I would love to have more nutella on the burger. I mean just imagine nutella oozing out at every bite of the juicy lamby goodness. There wasn't much choice of sides left (we wanted to pick a different side for every order) and so I ordered Ranched Beans in homemade bbq sauce. I felt cheated :( those baked beans tasted like those out of a can! no signs of bbq sauce, let alone homemade.. tsk!
Choco Lamb @ $10

In short, I really enjoyed my burger exeperience at De Burg and would deinitley come back for the De Burg or the Choco Lamb. Service was rather slow but their  politeness did helped ease the angst.
