Toss n Turn n Thumbs Up

Toss n Turn is a subsidiary of Cedele and I'm glad they live up to their parent company's expectations. I had the beef pastrami salad the 1st time round and was shocked at the portion size; then again, its only veggies.. but still pretty good stuff. My only complain was their service; it was super-ultra-snail-like-slow and the lady making my salad was referring to this huge file while making my salad. I reckon she's probably new. In fact, Toss n Turn had just set up and I thought I should probs cut them some slack.

Beef Pastrami Salad @ $12.90
My creation @ $9.90
Adriel's Cesar Salad
Cedele Sesame Tahini cake $5+

I was so impressed by the portion size of their salad, that i revisited T&T with Adriel the other night. I decided to make my own salad this time round and once again! the portion size was really satisfying. I pray they continue with such portions. I quite like their toppings as it ain't just veggies. When customizing your salad, you get to choose your base (mixed greens, couscous, rice, noodles), followed by 2 proteins/deli (smoked salmon, ham, chicken shreds, frittata, beef slices etc.) and finally 2 crunch (seeds, croutons, nuts, tomato, etc.) Some of the toppings change on a daily basis so you might not get the same thing when you visit.. which is kinda sad as the frittata was AWESOME~ I mean... which salad bar you know serves a whole slice of frittata for a topping!??! I was sooooo impressed.

Adriel had the Cesar Salad and he said it was good. And yes, the portion was pretty huge too, he was complaining that he ate too full.

Service, once again, was SLOW but I guess the food made me ignore that fact. I loved every bit of my salad, nonetheless I wish the service could be faster and more prompt (they didn't top of the sauces, until I was half way into my salad). Oh ya, I guess I forgot to mention, they have a sauce bar :D

I didn't have this cake at Toss & Turn (although they do supply cakes from Cedele) but since we are on the topic of Cedele... One of Cedele's new creation (not so new now due to all the backlog) is their Tahini Sesame Cake. It's basically a black sesame cake frosted with peanut butter cream cheese topping and showered decorated with some cranberries and black sesame seeds. I thought the cake was alil too dry but I love the taste of it nonetheless. The peanut butter cheese frosting tasted kinda weirdly confusing, I wished the cake was frosted with pure peanut butter instead. Not a bad cake but ain't gonna replace my top favourite- Cedele's carrot cake :)

I love Cedele! Definitely gonna head back to Toss & Turn once more!
