Coffee Bean with Fams

Chilled at Coffee Bean with Fams and we ordered the Caramel Macchiato to share. I find CBTL's Caramel Macchiato a tad too sweet and so I asked for a less sweet version which was just the way I like it :d

I would always have "The Ultimate" when I dine at Coffee Bean; however Shuaxy suggested trying the Double Chocolate and so we did. We had a few shots of coffee added to it and I must say the combi tasted pretty awesome; nothing beats a nice cold chocolate drink on a hot sunny day.

Their Brownie looked tempting and so we ordered one to share. I thought the brownie had a really weird texture; it was more soft than gooey. I thought it tasted decent, not until Shuaxy pointed out that it tasted like the smell of pet shop. Funny thing is, it does indeed taste like the smell of pet shop! Hmm.. definitely not ordering this next time.

We also had the Chocolate Cake which was passable. I thought the sponge was kinda dry and the chocolate mousse wasn't as dense as I like it to be. In short, I had better chocolate cakes than that.

Hans mentioned the Chicago Cheesecake in CBTL is a must try and I somehow managed to persuade mum to order it. I doubt the authenticity of it but this Chicago Cheesecake is indeed delicious. I love how it's so soft and fluffy yet smooth and creamy, tasting like a richer version of those Japanese Cheesecake Souffle.
