One Simple Equation

This has got to be life's most simple equation; it even beats 1+1=2...

Ice Cream + Cake = Ice Cream Cake

I know it's lame but I know deep down inside you agree with me :) Anyway, making Ice Cream Cake is really easy; better still if you have store bought ice cream, sponge cake and some topping cream to decorate. A well made ice cream cake is suppose to have clean and defined lines of the different flavoured ice cream, however as we were rushing for time, we didn't allow the ice cream to set before topping the other flavour. Nonetheless, if you close your eyes, it taste as good as Swensens =D Shuaxy was like, " eh.. how is this different from Swensen's Ice Cream Cake?" awww.. touched.

In order to beautify our cake, we made some stencil sponge to wrap around the cake. Due to the warm temperature in the kitchen, we got to make our ice cream cake in a walk in chiller, now how cool is that!? *pun intended. Another tip for making ice cream; do ensure the ice cream is soft enough to be pliable but not too soft as the ice cream might seep into the sponge cake, resulting in a soggy mess.



We also made some strawberry jelly glazing on top to beautify the cake.

Now you know how easy it is, quit buying ice cream cake and make some on your own! Just make sure you work at a speedy pace.
