Courtesy of my newly found dessert khaki, I got to enjoy 2 lovely cupcakes from Charlotte Grace. I know I'm always saying "I've always wanted to try" but I sumpah I really wanted to give Charlotte Grace a try but it was close before I arrived.
Located at Toa Payoh Lorong 4, its about a 15 minute walk from Toa Payoh Hub. L was given a red velvet cupcake and double chocolate cupcake to try and he shared both with me :)
I found the red velvet a tad too sweet for my liking, nonetheless the cupcake was moist and topped with an ultra sweet cream cheese filling. In my opinion, the double chocolate cupcake tasted better. Although it's still a tad too sweet for my liking, I liked how it is moist and had a some gooey ganache in the middle.

At $2.50, Charlotte Grace's cupcakes are indeed much more affordable than those from 12 cupcakes or Plain Vanilla. However, I reckon it's like eating ordinary sponge cake topped with luscious sweet toppings. I would pop over to see what else they offer but I hope the rest aren't as sweet as the above mentioned.
