I think I was mad that day; I didn't realise I ate that much until I started blogging about it. Remember I was telling you about my date with Tata? Well this is the final post on it; we parted ways at Chinatown as silly Jie gave me a shocking phone call.
It was Smoulder for appetizer, The Rotisserie for dinner and we ended on a sweet note- Mei Heong Yuen Dessert. I've passed by Mei Heong Yuen Dessert place a couple of times but I was always too stuff from Yum Cha's Dim Sum buffet (omg that was like eons ago). So yes, I'm ashamed to admit I've never eaten Mei Heong Yuen's Dessert.
Although we were really stuffed, which explains the walk to Chinatown in the first place, we still magically managed to make space for some Chinese desserts. The initial plan was to get a Pomelo Mango to share, however greed got the better of me and I ordered another peanut black sesame paste.
The Pomelo Mango was refreshing but no where as nice as the one I had at Swee Choon.

The Peanut Black Sesame Paste was pretty good but isn't as fantastic as what Tata remembered it to be. I thought the paste was diluted and would have been better if it's thicker.

Having minimal experience with Asian desserts, I don't think I have much to critique. I thought Mei Heong Yuen's dessert was average and the only plus point for me was that their desserts weren't that sweet. I would come back for of their savoury goodie the next time e.g. dumplings and carrot/pumpkin cake.
