Swensen's is comfort food, or rather that's how it's associated in my brain. My associative network goes like this: Sad àIce Cream àSticky Chewy Chocolate àSwensen's àSwensen's Earthquake àMore Ice Cream. There's also: Hungry àLoads of food àMega Burger àSwensen's àSwensen's Ice Cream àMore Ice Cream. In other words, Swensen's makes me happy.
I was suppose to be on a diet but I ended up going out with Dad and Jo for lunch anyway. The initial plan was to watch them eat and salivate while attempting to bond. Hell yeah was I bonding, with the food that is! I hated myself for pinching the food and eating the ice cream bleah!
Jo, after much persuasion by his elder greedy sister, ordered the Laksa Aglio Olio pasta which did not taste like Laksa what so ever. Instead, the Pasta tasted like an ultra spicy herby pesto with fresh and juicy prawns.

As we were there during lunch hour, we could order any desserts/sides/drinks for free, with every main course. Daddy ordered a banana split and Jo called his all time fav- the sticky chewy chocolate. The banana split was averagely boring. The only nice thing about this sundae was the nice sweet bananas and the sticky chocolate ice cream. The vanilla and strawberry ice cream tasted really normal.
