Chocolat N' Spice But Not Everything's Nice

Remembered how I whined about lil pancakes? Well muffins from Shunfu was lunch round no. 2 as Dad and I were still famished. We're not new to Chocolat N' Spice as Shunfu's nearby and mum would occasionally do her grocery shopping there.

Chocolat N' Spice has been around for quite some time and is well known for their muffins. There was a long queue that very afternoon but that wasn't so bad as the service was fast and it gave us some time to make up our minds. I really wanted to try their pumpkin muffins and carrot muffins but it was sold out, their double chocolate was sold out too and the disappointment was followed by an out of stock banana walnut muffin. Honestly, it would have been much easier if the aunty could just tell me what's left (technically she did, only after she realised we were holding up the line).

From left clockwise: Chocolate Chip Muffins, Cheese Muffins and Coffee Walnut Muffins.

We got 3 muffins in total: the cheese, chocolate chip and coffee walnut muffin. The chocolate chip was the best as it wasn't too sweet and had a crunchy chocolates in them. The cheese was kinda disappointing as the cheese filling was minimal. The coffee walnut was way too sweet for my liking and had a meagre amount of walnuts in them. Overall, I think CNS has downsized their muffins and became really stingy with their ingredients. Texture wise, these muffins still owns, as it's nice and fluffy but more has to be done to bring out each individual flavour of the muffins.
