Wimbly Nimbly Lu

On to the "got car" series...Wimbly Lu was our next destination. Tucked among the private estates off Braddell Road, this little cafe is slowly making its name in the cafe world. It wasn't very crowded when we were there; however, it was suddenly swamped with teenagers when we were about to leave.

You know you reached Wimbly when you see their iconic Volkswagen! This cafe has a really nice homely feel to it; I reckon it's those glass ceiling which creates this greenhouse effect.

Their menu pretty much evolves around chocolate; exactly what I wanted! :) I got us a blackout cake as I heard it was good. Indeed, it didn't disappoint. It was moist, chocolatey and not tooth achingly sweet.

Next up, the waffles. Lynette has been raving about this waffles and we were there to testify. We ordered our waffles with a scoop of chocolate truffle ice cream; it ain't no waffles without ice cream :) The waffles was ok, not bad but not as fantastic as what Lyns made it out to be. I think the best waffles I ever eaten were the ones I ate from Comstock Hall canteen!! It's so good, I could eat 3 at a go. On to the ice cream, the chocolate truffle ice cream was really decadent and had some kick-ass chocolate punch. However, I found it alil too icy for my liking. It isn't as creamy and felt like a chocolate sorbet to me.

One thing good about the "got car" series is that we gotta 'justify' the cost of driving all the way. Hence, we ordered a double chocolate cheesecake. The cheesecake didn't live up to its name, literally. It would have been fine if it is called a marble/ Zebra/ Black and White/ Othello cheesecake... ok you get my point. Unfortunately, it is called double chocolate and it fell short of chocolate; let alone double.

Now who said 3 is a crowd?
