Shuaxy's Birthday Celebration @ House

Celebrated me baby brother's birthday at house a couple of months ago.. ok not so baby anymore. Despite being an irritant 90% of the time, Shuaxy is actually really pretty awesome 10% of the time.

It came down to House or Roadhouse and House won by default as Roadhouse was filled that night. House wasn't any better though. It was a saturday night boy! it was full house! Some huge Indian family was having a celebration and practically occupied 1/2 of the restaurant. I'm not too sure whether it's the rush hour or tight labour force but the service at House was kinda curt.

Mummy ordered the ribs which was fantastic! It's tender yet succulent and had the smoky bbq taste. I just wished there was more to go round.

Pork Ribs with Caramelized Pineapples @ $29

I had the Squid Ink Pizza which was really nice. I'm not a huge lover of thin crust but I dont mind it, especially when it comes with a thin spread of squid ink paste and tons of seafood ;)

Squid Ink @ $26

The squid ink pizza was pleasant but the star of the night was definitely the smokey turkey pizza. Covered with cheese and dressed with blueberry compote, the pizza had a really good balance of both savoury and sweet, who would have thought blueberry could go so well with turkey.
Smoked Turkey Swiss @ $26
Unfortunately the birthday boy wasn't too happy with his choice. He said the sliders were ok tasting but really, REALLY puny. The sweet potato fries which came with it was pretty good though.
Old Fashion American Sliders @ $26
House is known for their wide array of fries and so we decided to give the pumpkin fries a go. OMG, best fries ever! The combination of hazelnut and assorted spices is really really really good! I'm not a fan of fried food but I couldn't stop eating these. That's HOW good it is...
Pumpkin Hazelnut Fries @ $12

Happy Birthday Shuaxy!

Shuaxy's birthday cake- Green Tea Mille Crepe from Lady M Confections.  The cake was really unpresentable and so I gave it some personal touch =)

Decorated by your truly :)

I didn't quite like the Mille Crepe... I thought it tasted very kueh-ish. The green tea cream in between the layers were really sweet too. I dont think its bad but it's just not a cake to me. Crepe will forever be crepes, I want cake and cake it should be!

Check out shuaxy's hairy legs! Happy birthday Shuaxy!
