A night around Selegie

Met Lil Wan and Cassy way back for some pancakes at Prinsep Street. Ok fine, I know the title is misleading but whatever...

Strictly Pancakes has the best chocolate pancakes, guaranteed + chop! This is my third time eating the druggie and I love love love it! I keep wanting to try something else but each time I'm here, I just can't help but order the DRUGGIE!

Cassy built her own pancakes; she essentially had 2 pancakes, 2 sausages, some bacon and scrambled eggs. I thought it looked really simple but she quite enjoyed them.

Lil Wan had the Garlic Buttered Prawn Pancakes which was pretty good. I thought the sauce was had a nice touch of garlic and wasn't too overpowering... but then again I like garlic so I might be impartial.

We ordered wedges to share. Wedges were ordinary though.

Cups and Canvas

After dinner, we checked out a relatively new cafe called Cups and Canvas. Cups and Canvas serves the usual cafe food: sandwiches, breakfast, cakes, coffee etc. but what caught my eyes was the Sweet Potato Latte! I thought to myself, "I like sweet potato..and I like Latte.. so...."

I thought the Sweet Potato Latte tasted really mild. Other than the colour, I  couldn't point out any sweet potato influence. It tasted like milk (period). Lil wan's hot chocolate tasted really normal as well.

The whole stretch from Prinsep to Selegie has been booming with quite a number of new eateries. Alright, they might not be that new as this post has been ultra delayed...but do check out Prinsep street/ Middle Road/ Selegie Road if you're around the Dhoby Ghaut vicinity.
