2 AM Dessert Bar- Sweet Edible Art

Tucked at a corner is a quaint yet exquisite dessert bar named 2 AM. Val suggested having desserts there and "desserts" they were...

Founded by famous baker/ entrepreneur, Janice Wong, I felt like I was eating art more than a dessert. I had the Kayambe H2O which consisted of dark chocolate mousse, yuzu sorbet, burnt caramel and some coulis. I thought the combi was really interesting but truth be told I rather eat a pint of Haagen Daz Belgian chocolate ice cream =X Now before you go all judgy, remember taste is subjective..

Val had the dessert Purple which was basically some sweet potato puree combined with lavendar and blackberry parfait. I found his dessert really unique and indubitably gorgeous. His dessert was actually plated on a glass plate on top of a picturesque purple art: really cool and arty farty. Novelty aside,  I liked the taste of mine better.

The desserts at 2Am averages around $15-$19 and definitely isn't cheap for that amount served but I guess art is priceless no?
