Shuaxy was feeling generous and he treated us to Sushi Tei the previous week. I was kinda excited as they were having the "Perfect Interfusion" promotional menu.
We ordered the Yakiniku Cheese Roll which was created by the branch at Holland Village. The handrolls were pretty delicious; the beef was tender and moist but it would have been wonderful if they could top it up with Mozzarella Cheese instead of Cheddar Cheese- something stretchy & oozy would have been nicer.

We also ordered our usual, the Rainbow Roll, which was as good as always. Topped with different kinds of sashimi and roe, these rolls are one of my favourite.

Jie wanted something hot and soupy, therefore we got ourselves one of those steamy sha bu sha bu like stuff. I hate to admit this but Sushi Tei's better than Ichiban's. I thought the miso soup base was excellent; super creamy and flavourful! There were loads of ingredients in the broth, as well as beef slices on the side, which made this pretty worth it.

I think Jie is worried we would starve and so she and Shuaxy ordered more carbo: pasta and rice. The Mentai Cream Pasta we ordered was really delectable. It's very creamy, with pasta cooked to perfection; albeit I would prefer it slightly saltier though.

The Curry Beef Rice was nice but ordinary. Kudos to their generous portion of curry, though I sort of lost my desire for Japenese curry ever since that night in Minnesota.

The total bill amounted to around $100+. I think Sushi Tei has me over but only for special occasions I would still stick with Ichiban Sushi for their value for money dishes :)
