I was invited by Leroy for their opening party cum sampling session and boy did I have a great time. Ciel Patisserie used to be located at Middle Road but has now become one of those hidden gems in the heartlands. Located at 124 Hougang Ave 1, Ciel Patisserie offers some simple yet wholesome desserts.

We were given 2 plates of goodies to sample and I must say I really loved their Chocolate Caramel Tart and their Sel. Both desserts weren't too sweet and had a nice salty touch to it. The portions given were of sampling sizes so fret not as their generous portions are worth every penny :)

I also liked their Satiné which was smooth and creamy; my only qualm would be their melt in your mouth base. I personally prefer a firmer crunchy cheesecake base but apparently "melt in your mouth" cheesecake bases are the ideals. Ciel Patisserie's forte has to be chocolate as they seemed to have nailed the Bombe (a chocolate mousse) as well.

All in all, Ciel Patisserie is definitely a beautiful addition to the heartlands. Do not be intimidated by the sophisticated outlook of this shop as their prices are pretty wallet friendly :)
