Headed over Taka Food Fare for Breakfast last Sunday and I went bonkers! I bought so much food, I could barely walk after that. I can't believe I'm gonna say this, but I'm gonna say it anyway, " Thank God I'm vain." Seriously, if i wasn't, I would be as huge as those participants you see at Biggest Loser. So anyways I was a little depress that day and so I bought myself a ton of stuff to munch. First up, some durian dorayaki which tasted really bad, despite the awesome durian filling. The Dorayaki was hard and dry and definitley wasn't to my liking, damn I should have gotten those Hokkaido Cakes instead.

Next up, I was attracted by the queer sausage looking things and decided to give those a try. The Aunty mending the stall was really angst-y and I was thisssssss close to walking away. Nonetheless, I couldn't say no to food and bought a peanut roll and some black sesame rice cake from her. BAD DECISION EVER! I just wasted $2! The black sesame rice cake tasted like shit and the peanut roll was too sweet for my liking.

Interesting looking store with sucky food |
My next purchase let me down too; a Seri Muka from some kueh stall. I don't really know how a good Seri Muka should taste like but I do like my Seri Muka with a creamy custard topping and not some dried panda flavoured kueh on top of some hard rice.

Having wasted $4.20 at the food fare, I gave up hope and headed for the food hall @ Basement 1 instead. Headed to Deck Bakery which was just at the entrance of the food hall. Did a little browsing and deliberated for a bit before settling on some cheese bun. I totally forgot the name but it was some cheese bun with cream cheese, mozarella cheese and custard.

The cheese bun tasted so darn good! It was ultra soft (just like the ones at barcook) and stuffed with creamy flowy cheesy goodness- I swear this is the best cheese bun ever! and I dare say it's better than Donq's Cheese Biscuit!
Headed over to Donq and bought a chocolate bun (don't judge ok, I was really depress). They claimed that this bun had a chocolate bar inside and I was like "OOOOOoooo chocolate, just what I need for a mood lifter!" LIARS!! this bun did have specks of chocolate but not a chocolate bar! I thought the chocolate bun was kinda hard and really paled in comparison to the cheesy goodness I had just minutes ago.

I spotted Windowsill Pie kiosk, from the corner of my eye, as I exited Donq bakery and yes I got tempted! Soooo tempted. By then I was stuffed! like serioulsy STUFFED! but the pig in me prevailed and before I know it I was chomping down spoonfuls of rich banana cognac pie. Made with Mascarpone, the banana mousse was awso light and creamy; the touch of cognac really brought out the sweetness of the bananas- well done windowsill! I also liked the almond brittle crust which added a really nice crunch and texture to the entire pie. I thought the pie was really good but a little less sweet would have made it perfect!

Last but not least, YOGURU FTW! Nope, this wasn't purchased in town, I was really really really stuffed after the pie. I rested 2 hours and accompanied mum grocery shopping at Thomson Plaza. In return Mum treated me yoguru! :):):) Tastiest Fro-yo ever!

Note to myself: Food is a temporary solution. Please find a more permanent, less side effects (tons of exercising to get rid of all the fats and toxins) solution the next time round.
